About Me
Aloha, I'm Leticia Canales, a professional surfer born in Sopela (Bizkaia). My story began when I was 6 years old, inspired by my father and older sister, who introduced me to this sport in a natural way. From a young age, I knew that surfing would be my path.
I've faced great challenges: at 11 I was already qualifying for junior world championships, at 14 I won bronze at the Under-18 European Championships, 4th at the Gromseach World Championships in Australia, and at 18 I made the leap to professional.

In surfing, being an ambassador is not just about wearing a logo: it's about representing a philosophy, a way of understanding the sport and the world. It is to create real links with brands that believe in you and with which you share values such as commitment, effort, sustainability or innovation.

After 20 years competing at the highest level, surfer Leti Canales embarks on an emotional and personal journey to reconnect with what made her fall in love with surfing as a child. This intimate and visually stunning documentary invites us to accompany her on her return to the places that marked her childhood, far from the stress of competition, in search of freedom, culture and the pure essence of the sea.
More than a sports story, this is a tale of identity, growth and rediscovery.

Clinics and Programs for Surfers
As a professional surfer, I am passionate about sharing everything I have learned in and out of the water. That's why my vision is to collaborate with schools, camps and federations to help surfers of all levels to improve, grow and enjoy surfing even more.
I offer customized clinics and workshops where we work not only on technique, but also on good habits, strategy and other key aspects to progress in a complete way. In addition, I can support technical and competition programs, bringing my practical experience and academic training.
Currently, I have the titles of N1 and N2 surf coach, and I am finishing my studies in CAFYD (Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport).
Talks and Individual Sessions
In addition to the group trainings, I teach talks and workshops that complement the physical and technical work. And if you are not part of a school or team, don't worry: I also offer private sessions for individual surfers or anyone who wants to improve their surfing independently, always adapting to your goals and level.
My goal is to accompany the new generations of surfers with a solid technical-tactical support in their training, especially thinking of those who aspire to high performance.

I like to share my experience as a professional athlete in talks to schools and educational centers. In them I talk about my career, the values I have learned in sport and how they have helped me not only in competition, but in life.
I talk about the importance of commitment, perseverance, teamwork and discipline, and how sports can be a powerful tool to educate and form stronger and more conscious people.
These talks are designed to inspire young people and motivate them to find in sport a way to grow, learn and overcome challenges, both in and out of the water.
